Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026 · Applies to Barista Mania
(xyz.teklabs.coffeecorner), published on the app stores,
and to this website.
The short version
- There is no account, no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your progress is saved in a file on your own device, not on our servers.
- Analytics and crash reporting start switched off. Nothing is collected until you say yes, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings.
- The game shows no ads and has no in-app purchases. There is nothing to buy and nothing to watch.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.
1. Who we are
Barista Mania is developed and published by Teklabs ("we", "us"). You can reach us about anything on this page at support@teklabs.xyz. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for the data described below.
2. Data stored on your device
The game keeps a single save file on your device. It holds your coins, the current day, the equipment and upgrades you have bought, your chosen language, your audio settings and your answer to the analytics question.
This file never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Deleting the app deletes it.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
With your permission, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4) to understand where players get stuck and which parts of the game go unused. The events we send are:
- Day started and day finished: the day number, whether you passed, how many customers you served and how many coins you earned.
- Shop purchases: which piece of equipment or upgrade was bought and what it cost in in-game coins.
- Tutorial completed.
- Language change: the language code you picked.
- Firebase's own automatic events, such as first launch and session start.
Alongside these events, the Firebase SDK collects technical data: a randomly generated app instance identifier, your device model, operating system version, app version, device language, and an approximate region derived from your IP address. All the coins and prices above are in-game currency; no real money is involved and no payment information is collected.
We never send anything that identifies you personally. Every value is about the game session, not about you.
4. Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)
With the same permission, the game sends a report when it crashes. A report contains the stack trace, your device model and operating system version, the app version, and a short trail of the last steps taken in the game (for example "day 4 started") plus the day number and language at the time of the crash. This exists so a crash can be reproduced and fixed.
5. No ads, no in-app purchases
The game shows no advertising and has no in-app purchases. No advertising identifier, IDFA or Advertising ID is ever read, and no third party sees your device or your play through an ad network. The only third-party services involved are the ones described in the sections above.
6. Your consent, and how to change it
The first time you open the game, it asks whether you want to share anonymous usage data. Collection is disabled in the build itself, so nothing, not even Firebase's automatic first-launch event, is sent before you answer.
You can change your mind whenever you like from Settings › Share anonymous data. Turning the switch off stops analytics and crash reporting immediately and signals Google that analytics storage is denied. Turning it back on starts collection again from that moment; we do not go back and collect what was skipped.
The legal basis for analytics and crash reporting is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
7. Who else sees the data
We use Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC as processors for analytics and crash reporting. Their handling of the data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase privacy documentation. This may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area, covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have no other recipients: no other analytics vendors, no data brokers, no advertising networks.
8. How long it is kept
Analytics events are retained in Firebase for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Data on your device stays there until you delete the app.
9. Children
The game is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data through the game, write to us and we will delete it. In builds distributed through a child-directed programme, analytics personalisation is disabled regardless of the consent switch.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because there is no account, we cannot look you up by name; the fastest way to exercise most of these rights is to turn the switch off in Settings and delete the app, which removes local data and stops all collection.
If you want a specific deletion request handled at Google's end, email us at support@teklabs.xyz from your device with the app instance identifier and we will pass it on. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. This website
coffee-corner.teklabs.xyz sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs. Fonts and the stylesheet framework are loaded from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, so those services see your IP address when the page loads.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
